# Oil & Gas Equipment Cable Assembly — photo sources

These are eleven distinct, camera-made photographs selected for the category page. They are third-party **application or component illustrations**, not Super Smile products, factory work, installations, test records, or evidence of a hazardous-area approval. In particular, no photographed connector, jacket, gland, or installation establishes an IP, Ex/ATEX/IECEx, oil-resistance, or chemical-resistance rating for a proposed assembly. Confirm the actual drawing, material data, installation zone, and required approvals for each inquiry.

Images were resized/recompressed where needed for web delivery without changing their depicted content; `oilgas-06.jpg` retains the Commons file's original 957 × 990 pixels. The site may display them within responsive CSS frames, which can crop the visible portion. For Creative Commons files, publish each credit on the public page with the photographer, linked source, linked licence, and modification note. This repository document by itself does **not** satisfy public attribution. Retain each CC BY-SA derivative under its original share-alike licence.

|---|---|---|---|
| `oilgas-hero.jpg` — application context | 龔 月強, [Pexels 5884386](https://www.pexels.com/photo/inside-a-petrochemical-industry-5884386/) | [Pexels License](https://www.pexels.com/license/), free commercial website use; no attribution required | Petrochemical/refinery structures and piping. No cable assembly is distinguishable. Use only as an industrial process-site setting, never as a Super Smile project. |
| `oilgas-01.jpg` — pump motor and control context | Mumtaz Niazi, [Pexels 35645884](https://www.pexels.com/photo/industrial-pumps-at-dubai-power-plant-35645884/) | [Pexels License](https://www.pexels.com/license/) | Pumps, motors, and piping at a **power plant**. Illustrates similar surface-equipment interfaces; do not identify this as an oil/gas site or a Super Smile installation. |
| `oilgas-02.jpg` — field instrument termination | PEO ACWA, [Wikimedia Commons / original Flickr photograph](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Pueblo_Chemical_Agent-Destruction_Pilot_Plant_Electrical_Terminals_(8456400416).jpg) | [CC BY 2.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/) — credit and link required; resized/recompressed for web | Electrician working at a magnetic flow transmitter in a **chemical-agent destruction plant**, with visible cable and process piping. Shows an instrumentation-wiring task, not a Super Smile job or an oil/gas plant. |
| `oilgas-03.jpg` — drawings and circuit review | Sid Mbog, [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Electrician_reading_schematic.jpg) | [CC BY-SA 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) — public credit/source/licence/changes; resized/recompressed JPEG remains CC BY-SA 4.0 | Electrician reading a paper electrical schematic beside site wiring. The actual circuit/pin assignments are not legible; this is not a Super Smile drawing or installation. |
| `oilgas-04.jpg` — multi-contact interface | S.J. de Waard, [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Industrial_electrical_socket_(01).JPG) | [CC BY-SA 3.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/) — public credit/source/licence/changes; resized/recompressed JPEG remains CC BY-SA 3.0 | Unconnected multi-contact industrial electrical socket with protective lid, photographed at Europort 2013. Illustrates a mating interface only; no cable, field installation, oil/gas qualification, IP or Ex rating is established. |
| `oilgas-05.jpg` — conductor and jacket structure | TubeTimeUS, [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Cross_section_of_an_older_US_power_cable.jpg) | [CC BY-SA 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) — public credit/source/licence/changes; adapted JPEG remains CC BY-SA 4.0 | Cross-section of an **older US power cable**, not a specified oil-resistant harness. Can explain layered construction only; no material-performance claim. |
| `oilgas-06.jpg` — cable entry / bend protection | Czech Academy of Science, [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Electron_microscope_Mamut_at_the_Institute_of_Scientific_Instruments_of_the_Czech_Academy_of_Science_in_Brno_(5),_junction_box.jpg) | [CC BY 3.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/) — public credit/source/licence required; original pixels retained, responsive display may crop | Junction box on an electron microscope with cable gland and bend-protection sleeve visibly installed. It is a **laboratory instrument**, not oil/gas equipment or a rated Super Smile component; use only to explain cable-entry geometry. |
| `oilgas-07.jpg` — surface process plant | Magda Ehlers, [Pexels 2569842](https://www.pexels.com/photo/red-and-gray-industrial-machinery-2569842/) | [Pexels License](https://www.pexels.com/license/) | Industrial pumps/pipes in a plant. No identifiable metering skid, oil/gas facility, or Super Smile assembly. |
| `oilgas-08.jpg` — valve actuator and field lead | HerbstrittM, [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Drehantrieb_in_raffinerie_01.jpg) | [CC BY-SA 3.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/) — public credit/source/licence/changes; adapted JPEG remains CC BY-SA 3.0 | Electric valve actuator on a valve in a refinery, with blue cables visible. Historical third-party installation; does not imply a present project, an approved harness, or certification. |
| `oilgas-09.jpg` — cable-routing path | Santeri Viinamäki, [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Cable_tray_with_cables.jpg) | [CC BY-SA 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) — public credit/source/licence/changes; adapted JPEG remains CC BY-SA 4.0 | Cable tray with bundled cables in a **general building/industrial context**. Routing is visible; individual circuit labels and oil/gas site context are **not**. |
| `oilgas-10.jpg` — electrical measurement context | Dustin Pengelly, [Pexels 35138694](https://www.pexels.com/photo/technician-measuring-electrical-panel-voltage-outdoors-35138694/) | [Pexels License](https://www.pexels.com/license/) | Gloved technician using a multimeter inside an outdoor electrical cabinet. Not a cable-assembly workbench, Super Smile first-article test, or evidence that a particular test passed. |
