Configuration & Project Review
01 Thermal profile
Identify continuous temperatures, short peaks, dwell time, thermal cycling and current-generated heat at each zone.
02 Complete material stack
Review wire insulation, connector or sensor inserts, overmold resin and seals together. The lowest-rated element can limit the assembly.
03 Processing versus service
Do not treat softening point, molding temperature or an unloaded resin temperature range as a finished cable operating rating.
04 Adhesion and geometry
Confirm jacket and housing compatibility, wall sections, mechanical interlocks, exit shape and stress relief through thermal expansion and contraction.
05 Fluids and sealing
Specify the actual oil, coolant, humidity or other exposure and the required sealing condition before and after thermal cycling.
06 Release evidence
Freeze material identities, conditioning, tooling and the process window, then agree electrical, mechanical and environmental evidence for the real configuration.
Send the part number, drawing or sample to confirm the replacement configuration and sourcing plan.
